About Us: Our Vision and Mission Statement

Fresno Central Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomes you.

VISION AND MISSION STATEMENTS

WHO WE ARE

We exist to glorify God by loving and exalting Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We rely on the power of the Holy Spirit enabling us to live a life of holiness and love while we wait for and proclaim the second coming of Jesus.

OUR VISION

To see Jesus coming back in the clouds of heaven. To be ready for that day with our families and with many others that God has given us to love and serve.

OUR MISSION

To do everything in our sanctified power to hasten the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the end of all suffering. We seek to do that in five interconnected ways:

1 - Watching and praying earnestly in our personal walk with God, in our families and in our Church.

2 - Standing firm in biblical faith and practice in a world where immorality of every sort is increasing rapidly.

3 - Being brave and bold to proclaim fully the three angels messages of Revelation 14:6-12, in a Christ-centered way.

4 - Strengthening our physical, psychological and spiritual lives by observing the God-given laws of health.

5 - Revealing the love of God in a practical way to all human beings that Christ wishes to reach through us.

INSPIRATION FOR THESE STATEMENTS

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:2 NKJV

Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

Daniel 12:3 NKJV

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.

1 Corinthians 16:13, 14 NKJV

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:14, 15 NKJV

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV

Love for God, zeal for His glory, and love for fallen humanity, brought Jesus to earth to suffer and to die. This was the controlling power of His life. This principle He bids us adopt.

Ellen White, Desire of Ages, p. 329.
